Guide

How it works

Pick it, press it, tape it. About a minute from the box to the bench — and it stays there until you decide otherwise.

01

Pick your cap

Pick the one that says what you want to say. Every model comes in Small and Large.

02

Press it in

Line the stem up with the shaft and press straight down until it seats. It should take a shove — that is the flanges doing their job.

03

Tape it tight

Wrap stick tape firmly around the cap and the shaft. Not over the cap — around it, so it cannot work loose mid-shift.

04

Go be a problem

Take the first shift, look down at your stick, and let the other bench work out what they signed up for.

Sizing

Small or Large?

Your stick’s flex tells you almost everything. Youth and junior shafts take Small, senior shafts take Large, and intermediate is the one worth measuring.

* Intermediate sits on the line. Measure the shaft: 29 mm or more across the outside, pick Large. Under that, Small.

Adjusting

Make it sit right

Shafts vary by a millimetre or two between brands, so two caps out of ten want a small adjustment. Both take under a minute and neither one needs a pro shop.

Stick tape wrapped around the stem of a PWR CAP before it is pressed into the shaft

Too loose? Build the stem up

Wrap a layer of stick tape around the stem — not the brim — and press the cap in again. Add a second layer if it still moves. Two is the limit: past that, the other size was the right one.

Too tight? Pare the flanges

The flanges are the raised ribs down the sides of the stem, and they are what grips. If the cap will not seat, shave them back with a sharp knife — a sliver at a time, testing the fit after every pass. Take it off the flanges, never off the stem itself, and cut away from your hand.

Most caps need neither. Press it home, tape it hard, and it will not move until you decide it should.

FAQ

Questions & answers

Which sticks does it fit?

PWR CAP is made for sticks with a hollow shaft. The cap presses down into the shaft opening.

Do I need tape?

Yes — tape it. Wrap your stick tape hard around the cap and shaft so it stays put through a full game.

Can I swap caps?

Yes. Cut the tape, pull the cap, press the next one in and tape it again. That is the whole point.

How do I pay?

By card via Stripe at checkout. All prices in the shop are shown including VAT.
